Why we wrote this down

We kept hearing the same stories from parents.

Subscriptions that couldn't be cancelled without three phone calls. Free trials that charged the card on day one. Quiet auto-renewals that billed for years after the family had stopped using the app.

Home screens that looked more like casinos than classrooms — tickets, prizes, streaks, reward animations engineered by people who understood adult app psychology and pointed it at four-year-olds.

Apps that called themselves educational but were mostly passive video. Wrong answers that punished kids by restarting entire sections. No real progress visible to the parent.

We hated hearing it. So we wrote this Promise down — not as marketing copy, but as the rules we operate by.

We respect your time, your trust, and your wallet. Here's what that means in practice.

  • No surprise charges.We email you 7 days before any renewal, every time. No buried fine print. If you ever see a charge from us you didn't expect, write to us — we'll refund it, no questions asked.
  • Easy cancellation.Cancel from your account page in two clicks — no phone calls, no retention gauntlets, no reactivation tricks. We use Stripe's billing portal so you can cancel directly without us in the middle.
  • Free beta access really means free.ZAFARI Trek is free for a limited time during beta. We do not require a card, and beta access will not convert automatically. When paid access launches, you decide whether to subscribe.
  • No engagement traps.We don't use streak counters, leaderboards, or in-app currency designed to keep your kid hooked. Our badges celebrate real learning — not return visits. We build sessions that have natural endings. We'd rather your kid use ZAFARI School for 20 good minutes than 90 manipulated ones.
  • Your kid's data stays your kid's.We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers. We collect only what we need to make the app work and show you their progress.
  • You can leave with your data.Download a complete copy of everything your kid created and learned, anytime — from your dashboard. Cancel and it's still yours to keep.
